DIY Kafta Sandwiches

Ingredients
Kafta
1 ½ pounds of your choice of lean ground beef, lamb or veal
1 medium onion, chopped or grated
½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Assembly
Flatbread of your choice (such as pita, naan or tortilla), heated
Fresh veggies of choice (ex: parsley, bell peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers)
(Optional) Your choice of hummus, tzaziki and garlic sauce
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, onion, parsley and spices until evenly combined. Let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 325 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Shape your kofta into logs, approximately 1 inch thick and 4 inches long, and transfer onto the baking sheet.
Bake in the oven until the meat is cooked through (about 20-30 minutes).
Assemble your sandwich with your toppings of choice and enjoy!
